One community designation can lower the score on every home in it.
Colorado’s law counts community-level mitigation as its own discount category — a neighborhood that documents its mitigation can move the wildfire risk score for every home behind it, not just one. PER C.R.S. § 10-4-124(1)(b)
The biggest mitigation money — state and county cost-share pools like the Forest Restoration grant and the State Fire Capacity grant — is written for a community applicant: an HOA, a neighborhood association, or a fire district. A single homeowner can’t reach it. We help your community apply, earn and keep a recognized designation, and document it to the evidence standard so the credit shows up on each member’s record.
The Insurability Record
Every household in the designation holds a dated, portable record — the community's credit, shown on each member's own file.
WHAT WE DO FOR A COMMUNITY
- Match the community-scale grants your area qualifies for and prep the application
- Get — or renew — a Firewise USA or equivalent community designation
- Document the community’s mitigation to the Reg 5-1-28 § 5.G.5 evidence standard
- Roll that credit onto every participating member’s evenstate record and appeal

Grant eligibility and designations are set by the administering programs; whether an insurer credits documented community mitigation is the insurer’s decision.
